UK Universities Gain Brownie Points in the Latest Times World University Rankings

The University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London feature in the world's top 10 universities.

The latest ‘Times Higher Education World University Rankings’ are here and the UK has done phenomenally well with 34 universities from the UK being placed in the world’s top 200 universities. The USA though continues to retain the top spot with the California Institute of Technology leading the race.

The University of Warwick and the University of Exeter have moved up the rankings, Manchester, York, Sussex and Royal Holloway London have slipped down but still find a place in the “Top 200”. Asian universities maintain a steady picture with universities from China, South Korea and Japan finding a place.

The National University of Singapore is the number one institution in Asia and this is the first time that the institution has achieved this feat.
