Prospective students must submit key documents to the university’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Documents vary by school/college/program and if documents are not in English, then an English translation must be submitted too. Required evidence includes:
Option 1: When choosing Test Optional students must comply with the prompt requirements on the Common Application.
Option 2: Submit official SAT or ACT results officially and directly from the examining body.
International students must submit evidence of English language proficiency--test scores from TOEFL iBT, IELTS, PTE Academic, ITEP Academic Plus, Duolingo, Cambridge C1 Advanced or Cambridge C2 Proficiency unless they meet certain exemptions.
All applicants should review Temple’s English language proficiency test policy to determine whether they are required to submit these scores.
Academically qualified students with low or no language scores may be accepted through Conditional Admission Program (CAP). Students at the highest CAP levels have to take credit-bearing classes so the students can begin working toward their degree even while learning English.
